Transport
Xela is small enough to be able to walk to most places but if its raining or you’re feeling lazy there are plenty of taxis that can take you around town for only Q30 or so. Frequent minibuses serve several routes out of town and from there you can change to the ubiquitous chicken buses to get to the outlying villages. The streets are fairly flat but there are plenty of places with cobblestones which makes riding a bike a bumpy affair. Cycling is pretty good and lots of locals pedal around but be wary about the crazy Guatemalan drivers.
